I really have to say
This has been one of the best years of my life
Almost now a full year
Since I married my beautiful wife.

What an Angel she truly is,
Fully with me every day,
In the wildest of my dreams,
I couldn’t have it any other way.

She smiles, and she giggles
She loves to be alive
Singing, writing and painting
Loving life is her drive.

There are days when she gets down,
Worried about what’s happening out there,
With a soul for truth and justice,
She knows the world can be unfair.

But we are a balanced two
As we explore our way out of the mire
It’s up to us to stand our ground,
And go for something much higher.

She is a homemaker so rare
Creating a home out of a space
She places her loving touch
And fills our world with grace.

My love for my Lassie just grows
As every day passes by,
How can you love being with someone so much,
I look at her and sigh, “Oh My!”

We are such a great team
Always standing shoulder to shoulder
We have each other’s backs
Our goals can only get bolder.

My Lassie is someone special,
A human being so divine,
I am the luckiest man alive,
Because I get to call her mine.

We are living our lives,
Creating space for our kids to grow
As they get one with living theirs
As we enjoy this awesome life’s flow.

Sharing the roles of grandparents
We are Mamma Lassie and Pop,
Seven awesome grandies
This grand joy of life you can’t top.

So my Lassie on this Day,
As you live lovingly in my heart
I promise you right now,
I will always be doing my part.

To love you is such a gift,
Perhaps life’s grandest prize
I will always seek to consecrate
Such a blessing of this size.

This next year will be amazing,
As we stretch toward our new home,
Whilst always staying a step ahead,
As across this planet we roam.
